Child Care Ready for All (CRAwl) is a hybrid training model that incorporates online learning and in-person skills training for childcare providers and families of children with significant healthcare needs.

About Us

CRAwl trainings are provided by nurses and focus on specific healthcare concerns and skills used within a childcare setting.

  • Cardiac conditions (congenital heart defects)

  • Respiratory conditions (Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma)

  • Respiratory inhalers & nebulizers

  • Allergic reactions & Epinephrine pen use

  • G-tubes

  • Colostomies

  • Urinary catheters

  • Seizure disorders

  • Sickle cell anemia

  • Hemophilia

  • Neuromuscular conditions (Cerebral Palsy, Dystrophies, Hydrocephaly, VP shunts)

  • Diabetes

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is a collaborating partner with the CRAwl program. The development of these programs were created in conjunction with the UofSC College of Nursing pediatric faculty, who were provided dedicated time to conduct research, promote program development, and cultivate community partnerships for commencement of this child health care program.
